If you're in the market for a used car that's sleek, stylish and fast, then a used Nissan 350Z is a great choice. The 350Z was only sold in the UK for a few years, but used examples offer the perfect balance between power and value. The vehicle's muscular appeal gives it an iconic sports car look, while the potent V6 engine provides plenty of performance.
All versions of the 350Z include a petrol engine, a manual or an automatic gearbox, and rear-wheel drive.
PetrolWhile buyers of the Nissan 350Z will likely not be too concerned with practicality, the two-seater is surprisingly roomy, more so than some other options.
Interior spaceAll 350Z models came with the same 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, though the output changed over the years. While it originally produced 276bhp, it was later upgraded to 295bhp and ultimately 308bhp. However, the original 276bhp engine remains the most common in the UK.
The 350Z had several variants, such as the Black Edition, Premium, Recaro and Prestige. The Recaro model is the most popular because of the special sports seats for added comfort and support.
Luxury touches could be added for a premium feel to the interior, such as black leather sports seats with electric adjustments and heated front seats. Customers should also look out for cruise control, along with a premium Bose sound system with seven speakers.
The 350Z and 370Z are incredibly similar and both are excellent sports cars. They look alike, but the 370Z creates more power because of the larger 3.7-litre V6 engine. It also offers an upgraded seven-speed automatic transmission over the previous five-speed, and the interior is more modern.
With such a heavy focus on power, Nissan didn't make a hybrid 350Z. Instead, all models are equipped with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that's rated for between 276bhp and 308bhp, depending on the year.
Most 350Z models came with a manual gearbox. There was an automatic offered, but it's difficult to find among used cars and it can be more expensive.
All Nissan 350Z models came equipped with rear-wheel drive. This platform ensures the best sports-car-like handling, especially while cornering, but it's not always the best choice on slippery road surfaces.
